A CLOSER LOOK
Where it fits in your routine
The NESSUS WDTNE01 is a manual tool for working through espresso grounds before tamping. The listing specifies ten stainless steel needles with a 0.35 mm diameter, an aluminum handle and a matching stand containing a cleaning brush. It also lists a separate set of ten spare needles in a storage tube. Our illustration shows the assembled tool resting in its stand; the needles and replacement tube are not exposed in that view.
WDT describes distributing loose grounds with fine needles. The tool is intended to break up clumps and rearrange the dose in the basket before you use a tamper. It does not weigh the dose, set the grind or apply calibrated tamping pressure. The seller makes extraction and channeling claims, but we have not tested those outcomes or established a guaranteed improvement in the cup.
The source describes a configurable needle arrangement and a removable cleaning brush in the base. Follow the supplied assembly directions, keep any unused needles safely stored and check the fit with your actual basket. A different needle count changes how the tool moves through the grounds; it is not a universally better setting for every dose or basket. Handle the fine points carefully and avoid bending them against hard surfaces.
The stand provides a storage position as well as a brush contact for routine cleaning. It should not be treated as a substitute for inspecting and properly cleaning the tool. Confirm the selected model, needle specification and spare set before ordering. This accessory is most relevant once you already have suitable grinding equipment and want a dedicated distribution step in an established espresso routine.
