A CLOSER LOOK
Where it fits in your routine
The S2 is listed as a compact scale for espresso and small pour-over setups. Its published footprint is particularly useful when deciding whether it will sit fully on a drip tray. The timer offers both manual and automatic modes, which should be compared with the workflow you actually use.
The listing specifies a rechargeable battery and a weighing range starting at 0.5 g. That lower limit matters if you plan to weigh very small quantities. We have not tested response speed, water resistance or calibration; consult the manual rather than treating a compact shape as proof that every espresso machine will accommodate it.
For machine use, measure the entire space: the tray width and depth, the height of the scale, your cup and the clearance below the portafilter. A small footprint alone cannot settle all of those questions. On a counter, make sure a larger pour-over vessel sits securely and does not block the readings you need to follow.
Compare the timer modes with your preferred way to start and stop a brew. Automatic behavior can be useful, but it is not evidence of identical operation with every cup or machine. The illustration shows the scale alone with zeroed readings. A hand used to demonstrate its size in the reference image is not a precise dimensional comparison.
