A CLOSER LOOK
Where it fits in your routine
This BLACK+DECKER drip coffee maker pairs a glass carafe with a programmable control panel and a water-level window. The listing describes twelve coffee-maker cups, with each cup approximately five fluid ounces; that is not twelve large mugs. Its carafe has filling marks and a broad handle. Our illustration follows the black and silver version shown in the selected source, with the carafe in place and no extra accessories.
The source specifies a standard paper filter for the brew basket. Include replacement filters in your routine, and check the instructions for the correct shape and size rather than assuming every filter fits. The programmed start can suit a repeatable morning schedule, but preparation, cleaning and the correct water and coffee quantities remain manual tasks. We have not tested brew temperature, extraction uniformity or the clock controls.
A listed pause feature briefly interrupts flow when the carafe is removed. It should be used only as the manual directs, with the carafe returned promptly; it does not replace turning the machine off. The advertised two-hour automatic shutoff is not a reason to leave the unit unchecked or use it beside materials that could be damaged by heat.
The inspected specifications identify model CM1160B-1 and a 120 V supply. The linked CM1160 manual describes a polarized plug for its 120 V models. Amazon’s fields disagree about permanent versus paper filtration, while the manual calls for a basket-style paper filter; confirm the supplied basket and instructions, and do not assume a reusable filter is included. Check lid clearance for filling, follow cleaning and descaling directions, and never immerse the powered base. This is a batch brewer, not an espresso machine or an insulated serving flask.
