The 55 TRENDS basket removal tool is a small flat stainless steel lever with a widened rounded handle and a raised edge at its narrow end. A hole in the handle allows an optional ring or clip to be attached. The inspected photograph shows the tool by itself, with its bent tip visible; our illustration follows that arrangement.
Its purpose is to help lift a removable filter basket from a compatible portafilter. The presence of a pry edge does not prove compatibility with every basket lip, retaining spring or portafilter finish. Inspect the available contact point first and follow the equipment maker’s removal instructions. If a basket will not release with appropriate light pressure, stop rather than increasing leverage indefinitely.
The source gives separate measurements for the tip and the remaining body, but does not provide an unambiguous complete dimension drawing. We therefore do not present a precise overall length as a confirmed specification. Check the selected listing if size is critical for storage or access. No keyring, cleaning brush, replacement spring or basket is shown as part of this product.
Use the tool with cooled, safely handled equipment and keep fingers clear of the point where the basket may release. A dedicated tool is not a promise that a surface cannot be scratched or a part damaged. We have not tested this lever with particular machines. Its role is limited to basket removal; it does not clean residue, alter a basket’s fit or replace the manufacturer’s maintenance procedure.
