A CLOSER LOOK
Where it fits in your routine
The Breville Temp Control jug combines a conventional handled steaming pitcher with a temperature-indicator strip on the outside. It is an accessory for a separate steam source, not an appliance that heats or foams milk on its own. The indicator may be useful when learning a repeatable steaming routine, while the spout supports transferring the milk into your serving cup. The source’s structured color field differs from the stainless-steel description, so this selection does not rely on that color field. Check the selected unit and indicator instructions rather than treating a photograph as proof of a particular temperature reading.
This is a passive jug, not a heater. Allow headroom for expanding milk and confirm steam-wand clearance. Source color descriptions conflict, so no color variant is asserted.
Choose around the drink you actually prepare and the space available beside the coffee brewer. Milk needs room to expand, so a vessel’s total volume is not a safe frothing fill by default. Dairy and plant-based products can behave differently, and the appropriate technique or program remains part of the recipe. Follow the cleaning instructions immediately after use and keep powered parts away from water as directed. Compare a separate electric appliance with the simpler pitcher-and-steam-wand workflow before adding another item to the counter. We have not tested foam texture, heating speed, temperature precision or long-term durability for this product.
